You are probably talking about a rubber seal that goes into the rim
hole. It is made by Schrader (996) or Dill (588). It reduces the rim
hole from .625 to .588 inch. Unless you can find inner tubes with metric
valve stems, you should use this seal in conjunction with the american
valve stems. It can be purchased from:
