Hello Jack,and others
I have no idea, where I can get that filter from Pete here in Germany.
It is the better one, because obviously it has the right lenth !

Concerning the Microns of the MANN - filter , I must ask the MANN service
after the christmas -holidays

Gerhard/All,

I use the same filter in my PA (almost no miles so far), it was supplied
with an aluminum disk with a hole through it by Mike Allison. I put the
disk in the bottom of the original housing, preserving the bypass valve
operation. The disk has a short small diameter cylindrical section that
protrudes into the hole in the bottom of the original housing. There is
an "O" ring around the cylindrical section sealing against the housing,
to prevent oil bypassing the filter.

All this may be irrelevant as I think Pete has a simpler solution,
assuming you can get the filter Pete recommends. His is a 8 micron
filter, do you know what the Mann H614's specification is? I have a Mann
catalog that only says it is in the micron range.
