But for speed trials I
have to think the Hilborn is perfectly adequate. Its simplicity and
aircraft quality parts have a lot of charm.

But what happens when you set the jets and bypass in the pits then wait 3
hours before you run. With the Hilborns and like systems once you are
committed to a setting it stays there for 5 miles, rich or lean you're stuck.
You need to be prepared to compensate for a weather change while waiting in
the lines.
