Found interesting comment re: tires in a 1960 Hot Rod Speedweek article.
I'll mail or fax if you are interested, please forward address/fax number. A
point in later Speedweek articles points out that the tire manufactures were
in full force with both Firestone and Goodyear on the salt with product and
support people. Both companies soon departed our sport for more visible
venues. Don't forget the Sears/All State tire we got from Mickey Thompson in
the 70's. I remember only one available size. Jim Dincu mentioned these in
an earlier message.
