Thanks and in checking the Moss catalogue this morning I see that in fact
they do sell the two side-by-side as you state at $96.00 and $163.00
respectively. That is an 80% increase in price for the "upgraded" pump and
I must wonder what the pump achieves--and how it does it--to justify such
an increase. "Upgrade" might have several meanings and given the
propensity of these pumps to fail, perhaps the term describes longevity
versus performance, with a better-quality seal. OTOH if the upgrade is in
performance that usually means increased water flow. Unless the outer
housing is substantially larger the cast-in "fins" on the internal impeller
cannot be that much larger and so I wonder how such an increase would be
achieved.
