A couple more bolts and you've got it apart. Go for it. New syncros,
reverse gear, needle bearings,
thrust washers, laygear repair( if needed), layshaft, gaskets, a good bath
etc. and you should have a faithful box for life and a smile on your face
for doing the work yourself. The list will get you through. And maybe a
Haynes manual.
