Hi Bruce,
One comment from Dave Russell I remembered is the lug nuts are lock nuts.
The threaded holes are oval, not round like a standard nut. With repeated
removal, the locking feature is worn away. Might be a sign to get new ones.

Speaking of rear wheel lugs, a couple of months ago I was driving to
breakfast and heard a nasty clunking from the rear end. As I had fairly
recently put the engine/tranny back in, I immediately suspected the rear
U-joint mounting to the nose piece, but on inspection found that my left
rear spline was in place by one just barely snug lug, the other 4 having
worked their way up the studs. The right side was not much better. Very
scary.

So, anyone know of castellated nuts and drilled studs that could be used w/
safety wire?
