The first known instance of this was the installation of a very early C-type
100-6 engine in a 100-4 COUPE. The registration is OAC1 and it was used for
some years as a factory "Mule" to test different brakes, and engines.
I was fortunate to be able to drive this car in 2002 over quite a few miles
of British Motorway and back roads. It is a ROCKET.... Speeds in the 90 - 100
mph were VERY easy to obtain and maintain. Braking was superb from the 4
wheel disks. Cockpit heat in the middle of summer was .... Well, it is a
Healey...
The specifications and photos of this car can be seen on pages 106 and 107 of
"The Healey Book."
