Is there a formula to determine spring rates when you shorten a spring? The
Afco 2 5/8" springs that Greg Blake has pointed out come in 8, 10, 12 and 14
inch free lengths. I want a 9" free length spring to keep my ride height. If I
buy a 700 lb 10" spring and cut off an inch I would guess at a rate somewhere
around 800 lb rate.
