Well. if we were actually talking about timing gears as the title line
says...I built one several years ago for the GT6 based upon a small block Ford
three
gear kit. Worked fine and is presently running up in the NorthEast
somewhere. Didn't seem to contribute a thing and I didn't see it was worth the
effort
to set it up.
I've been drawing and noodling on a belt drive for several years but it too
is way on the backburner. Not enough gain for the effort, IMHO. Steve
Actually, Jim was asking about the frictional losses of helical
timing gears--not something you worry about on a stock TR motor.
