If it's Quaife then that's about 3K for the gear set and you still have to get
them to the states plus taxes I guess.

out of production with no plans to reproduce. I can't imagine what they're
worth now with the Dollar so weak. Sure like to have them though...
I just completed assembly of a customer car, including installation
of a gearbox that had been converted to straight cut gears with dog
synchronizers. I took a brief drive on a local highway. That
synchronizer system is absolutely amazing and a joy to use. I don't
know if it's an advantage from the power standpoint, but I'd guess
the effortless shifting would be worth a half-second to a second on a
Road America course lap time.
