Money corrupts everything. In the '60s, Formula 1 schlepped cars about on open trailers and transporters, paddocked in the dirt. The flash of today is because they can afford it. The whole thing has trickled down to vintage racing. The vintage cars as raced today arrive and paddock in luxury only dreamed of by the folks who actually campaigned them for real back when. Not a very accurate reenactment of the period. Bill |
