I'm sure it was all those things too, but the story locally here is that the
SCCA was tired of all the whacky complaints about mistreatment of spectators
and drivers.
One or two would be enough for me to put a vendor on notice, from the war
stories in just our small group it must have been many, many more.

Good point. I don't know any high mucky-mucks in the SCCA to find out, but
rather my guess would be it involved geographical considerations....more
central location, close to new headquarters, etc.
