Roadster Drifter, got one, just put on a rear sway and let'er rip!! Front
comps help too!!

Really, only about 250 hp would be necc. and that might be overkill for a
roadster. The problem with such a small car is the pendulum effects of the
small moment of the short wheel base. Which means that the whip over is
killer and hard to avoid without spinning out.

After watching/competing/having fun for about 4 years (20 if you count snow
drifting) I would say that 300 hp is fine for such a small car. More is of
course better, if you are into the whole "more is better"
tape-measure-contest, but to me it is like a WRC rally car. Use what you
need, 300-350 should be plenty for 2000lbs.

Uh, the Honda recipe wont work unless you are extremely driven to make a FF
car drift, I have seen it once and had a good laugh. You could put meal
trays from the cafeteria under the rear wheels to make it happen, uh not
advised...

Most important part of the Drift rear end is not the ratio, but the LSD,
without it you aren't drifting just peg-legging it. Use the GSL RX-7 rear,
and that should do nicely. Or get an early 80's supra/corolla/cressida and
hit the track!! Did I just send the list to outer space with the mention of a
Toyota??
