hi everyone
with thanks to mark dent, durf and sue hyson, and sidney raper, i
have bad news to report on the 289 oil pump thingie.
it seems it was just out
of the bottom hole, not lined up with it. carefully attempting to re-align
it, my friend moved it a little too far in one direction. i heard a curious
"klink" and and not-so-curious "oops." i asked lewis to help me, so i can't
blame him. so i have to pull the pan. which means pulling the sway bar and
the starter first. i just hope the drive shaft is in the pan, and not hung up
someplace above the crank.
