Figure blue smoke is oil; and at start-up probably leak down from the head
past the valve seals. Cheap "fix" (50/50 chance of success) add about 1/4 to
1/2 quart transmission fluid to crankcase --- could/might/may/ has been known
to -- swell the seals enough to eliminate the problem (for a while).
Worked for me.
