It is for L20. It is common to see grinders do this and it however will still
work. There are two different Cam base circles..one for the U20 and one for the
L Series motors. The shape of the lobes is different, degree of openings/closing
and all the wonderful design parameters that manufactures come to through
exhaustive testing which most people wish to preserve to some degree when
regrinding cams. Remember though that grinding a new profile reduces the base
circle requiring re-adjustment of the rocker arm to compensate . Grinding it 3
or 4 times and you may find you have geometry problems hence forth cam tower
shims, adjuster nut cutting, conversion to custom retainers accepting L-series
Lash pads. etc, etc.to compensate for changes. Tecnically one must grind a U20
cam with a U20 template to be right. Eddie at Camonics had the template at one
time, but someone scarfed, got it right this time, it up. There are some of
these floating around though. Anyone using this cam should
check theorectical lift numbers against actual lift at the valve and wipe area
on the rocker Arm. Dean

Isky would hand engrave the grind
info on the cam? I would have expected it to be stamped somehow. Just
trying to be sure that Isky ground the cam or if it was ground by
someone else to that particular grind. What I have is a U20 cam, just
ground the same as what they list for the L20.
Anyone ever use this grind? By the way, It, along with a bunch of other
stuff will be up for sale tonight or tomorrow. Just trying to get
pictures posted to my web site.

I found info on your cam under www.iskycams.com
but it is for a L20 motor.
