There's no known spec for that distance. Plus it would require tearing down the
engine to measure it, so it has no more value than measuring the head thickness.

You're right about the lash pads, but variable-thickness lash pads aren't
available for the roadster unless you have the valve stems modified to accept
L-series retainers.

Is there a spec for the center to center distance between the jackshaft and
the cam? Might be tough to measure even if there is, but it seems that would
be the definitive measurement.

Also I'd think that if you shim the cam towers you'd also need to increase
the lash pad thickness by the same amount?
