Ryan:
When you are done with all of the bodywork, and have your panels fit to your
liking, then take the doors, hood and trunk off for painting. Leave the fenders
on, as they mate with the front apron, and you will not get a clean line
painting seperately. Also, take the hood and trunk off WITH the hinges still
attached, so that they automatically line up after painting. And make sure all
holes that got filled with Bondo are cleaned before painting. It is very
embarassing to drill a hole in the wrong place on fresh paint. Good luck, and
please ask any more questions concerning painting that you would like. There
are very few feelings like seeing the result of multiple hours of your labor
roll out of the paint booth with a sparkle to every angle (except firing up the
race engine for the first time, late at night, with no exhaust system).

<< is it better to have the fenders
painted separate from the car, then bolt the fenders back on? Or
rather paint the car with the fenders on? The same question goes for
the doors, hood, and trunk hood.
