Thanks to ALL for the great information and pricing! I am going to have the
owner take it to a shop near him this week (on my dime) for a full
inspection. I'm going to have the mechanic take a look at the tranny,
clutch, breaks and excessive rust underneath while he has it up. I'll
factor what he tells me into any offer.
I appreciate the advice that says to wait and spring for a car in better
shape, but come on.. what's the fun in that! ;-) Besides, I don't need a
daily driver right away, that's what the Miata's for =)
I'm sure I'll be back soon with more questions, until then I'll be lurking!
