Hi list,
There has been some talk in the past about insurance coverage. Now that
roadsters are reaching collectible status and parts being so hard to get,
many of us may find ourselves at a disadvantage when involved in a fender
bender or major wreck. Most insurance only pay out the (fair market value) or
(actual cash value)of the car. I'm still searching for that one co. that will
insure a roadster at a fixed agreed mutual price. In the meantime I came
across a co. affiliated with AAA of calif. They are called American
Collectors Insurance.
Most of us like to drive our cars rather than stare at them in our
garage or drive way, so this isn't for everyone. It's probably not for me but
for those who want to preserve theirs in mothballs heres the address.

Just for the hell of it I got a quote of $71 for full coverage, 1
year. Not a bad figure but here comes the criteria you have to meet.
1) must be garaged
2) driven less than 2500 mi ayear (ugh) THAT'S A KILLER
3) 10 years driving experience
4) have at least one "regular" vehicle for every licensed driver in
household.
Like I said it's not for every one but they also offer $0 deductible
on stock (unmodified) cars.
I'm still shopping meanwhile, Just thought I'd pass this on.
