I always liked the stripes on the GT350 Mustang and the Cobra and would use 
them as a model.  I would not include letters in the stripes as I thought 
that it looks cheesy when the cheaper cars (Pintos, Mustang II, Porsche 
Carrera) do it.  I have even thought of doing the same on my 1600 or 2000.  
The 2000 has small pinstripes from the PO which I think look good.

Post a pix if you do it.
