If you're in need of an alternate to a speedometer, another way to do it would be to use a GPS unit. Some of them are even designed to be used as road maps, but most of them can tell you you're current speed and have trip odometer functions. They are a bit pricier than bike computers though. The low end ones start at $100-$150 I think and go on up from there. -Mitch |
