I was hoping I'd never have a PO story to share, but here's mine... I've been
meaning to check the timing on my primered baby for a while now, but for some
strange reason, NO timing lights ever work on my car! Ok that's weird, well
the car's running fine enough as it is, so I won't worry about timing it for
now... Fast forward to a month or so ago when I got bored and decided to
install a little stereo system into the car. Hook everything up, and as I go
to attach the ground cable to the amp, I notice that it starts arc welding
itself to the amp's terminal block! I cry out WTF?!?! Recheck all my
connections, and it does it again, blowing out the amp's fuse... this time I
stop and realize, ok something's going on here... Scrape ALL the corrosion
off the battery terminals and realize that some PO had attached a red cable
to the neg side of the batt, and a black cable to the pos side. Aha!
