Hello Rod and Jeff,

Many years ago, in the 1960s, a neighbor of mine who raced Cortinas and
Escorts ordered a twincam from Lotus. I remember the day the engine
arrived -- I was a TR4 owner then and already aspired for a Lotus. In the
crate with the engine was a Lotus steering wheel, complements of Lotus. I
was green with envy.

There must have been a number of "loose" TCs imported here, going into
Escorts, Cortinas,Formula racers, etc. The Ogle GT (ex Stirling Moss) at a
friend's garage has a TC. I've bought as scrap two Lotus heads. So in this
far-flung island, we had a lot of TCs. But only three Type 45 Elans and one
Plus 2. Replicate this situation in other countries, and the stockpile gets
accounted for.

But let me know if you find a mint NOS twincam!

Regards, and I am happy there is a resurgence in the Chapman Era List.

Andres
Manila
Lotus 23 and 45

PS: My steel L-block engine arrived last week from QED, adding to the local
inventory!
