When my TR6 does this (which is often), it is usually because the cheap plastic "tappet" following the distributor cam has melted enough to reduce the point gap to nothing. Interestingly, it usually melts on the point spring side rather than on the cam side. My distributor shaft is wobbly enough for this to produce very erratic results. -- Jeff. |
