Filling the Em-Gee Bee cooling system is usually very friendly. The
water goes down, the air comes up, and gravity does it's thing. If you
squeeze the radiator hoses, you can usually burp out any air. Remember to
turn on the demister when running, to get the air out of the "heater" core,
as well.
Check the timing, fuel mix, fan, and the real temperature. (Different
sender than the car used to have?) How's yer water pump, and thermostat?
