Whoa, waitaminit! (Hi, all of you SOL'ers. Percy and I are still here,
though we have little time to subscribe to brit-cars mail at the moment.)
Just for the record (or the CD, if you prefer), our CD of both 1991 and 1992
were placed on the nominating ballot, but *technically* one cannot call it
a nomination until one has made it past that initial voting to be placed
on the next list that contains only 5 entries. Unfortunately, this is a
technicality that is often obscured by writers in local newspapers and
such. Unfortunately too, we have not yet made it past that initial ballot.
NARAS does not take too kindly to misappropriation of the term "Grammy",
so I feel obligated to post this disclaimer. I haven't seen that article
(I can only surmise that an article prompted you, timd, to post your kind
note), so I don't know exactly what it said. We try to be careful on our
wording in publicity material, but you never know how things will be
interpreted by others. After all that, thanks you Tim for the kind words.
Hope to see you and other SOL folks around sometime. For those in other
parts of the country besides the (currently frozen) northeast, we will be
in northern California for 9 shows over the two weeks spanning February
and March. I don't have a calendar for that online just yet so I can't
forward a schedule yet. Drop me a line if you are interested and I'll
type it in and send it off... (We'll be in Marblehead too in a few weeks,
and also at the Old Vienna Kaffehaus in Westboro soon.)
Just thought I'd clear that up. Hi, again.
