I thought I'd jump in with my offering, since this thread won't seem to die.
Of my current crop of vehicles, the Triumphs are Mister 6 and Mister 8 (lame),
although I expect to come up with proper first names one of these days, when
the moment seems auspicious. Our Jetta GLI is name Jetta-boo, since it's black
as the ace of spades and I was in a racist-humor period when we got it. In my
deep past were a '71 Pontiac Catalina name Richard, a '76 Olds Delta 88 names
Edmund, and a '69 Fiat Spyder named Giovanni. Names used to come more easily,
it seems. I've always felt that names should be like hats or perhaps slippers,
they need to fit the wearer, or they seem silly.

On another note, I responded to the '60 Healy 3000 for sale, posted a few days
ago by MJB. It turns out that it had had a 375HP corvette 327 installed with
muncie 4 speed. To fit this beast the foot boxes were modified a bit. Other
than that, it's pretty original, with some uprated suspension bits. He does
have a non-original 3000 engine/transmission in need of rebuilding, although
he is willing to part with the 327 as well. I wonder what such a thing is
worth? If it's really a 375HP, does that make it a Fuelie? He did mention
that it would out-drag a norton 750! Sacriligeous, but undoubtedly fun.

Regards,

John
