Many thanks to the people who helped me with my fuel pump
problem. For some unknown reason it is working fine now; knock on
wood that it continues to work.
With that solved for the time being, I have a second question. My
67MGBGT has a combined oil pressure/engine temperature analog gauge. Both
appear to be directly coupled to their respective input points on the block.
The problem is that my temperature gauge reads about 150 degrees before I even
start the car, and then goes quite quickly to the peg point at approx 220
degrees. The gauge is increasing appropriately, but it is starting at too high
of a baseline.
How can I reset it back to an appropriate baseline?
        Thanks in advance.
