Dustin Kassman has kindly posted a collection of patch/t-shirt/etc prices.
These seem in line with the rest of my (admittedly small) research so far.
Seems that the real change from one manufacturer to another is in the
artwork charge, and even that's pretty similar - I recall this being the case
when I was doing lots of t-shirts in college, too. The thing that'll really
add to our price is quantity. We have about 2 dozen interested parties, making
the artwork charge $4/person for embroidery and $3.15/person for screens.
Using these prices as a guidline, we come up with the following:
patch: $9.00
lg patch: $19.00
t-shirt(front) $16.50 (+$3.15 for BritCar humour on the back)
t-shiback) $26.50 (no BCH possible)
These are IMO pretty indicative of what we're going to have to pay, especially
for t-shirts, as we'd need 4 colors to be screened. I like the idea of
embroidered
shirts, especially as the marginal cost over that of a patch is only about
$9, or the cost of having a shirt screened with BCH to which one can affix
a patch. (that's not very clear, is it?).
Any further pricing info would be greatly appreciated - I'm going pretty crazy
at work, which limits the amount of time for research.
