My insulation worked so well that I never put on the shielding that I  
had cut & shaped. Because of leg room issues I almost never wear shoes  
when driving my car. No heat gets past the insulation I put on the  
bottom of the car. The insulation was very expensive but clearly worth  
every penny I spent. It was insulation made for racing applications.  
Also lined my hood with it...
