Hello,

Are running drums on the rear? If so, have the automatic adjusters checked to
see if they are extended properly.
On the 5.0 Mustang, the automatic adjusters are suppposed to push the bottom of
the shoes closer to the drum to
compensate for drum and shoe wear. If the adjusters themselves are worn out,
dirty, rusted or imporperly adjusted,
this could cause a loss of braking power at the rear. A word of caution, if
the adjusters are extended too far,
the rears will lock up way before the front. You might consider having a brake
shop take a look at the adjusters.

Cheers,

Raymond
