The Texas Roll Back design actually has the bed slide back on rollers till
the bed is far enough behind the axles that it tilts down of its own wt.  At
that pt the fenders (easily removable since they are simply held in place by
gravity on two rods) are in front of the doors, so you have easy access to
the car by simply opening the car doors which are now not blocked by the
fenders or wheels.
