Running the Divisionals is a very good way to get a taste of nationals
right in your own back yard, so to speak. And, if you're thinking of
running nationals, entering and running this event qualifies you!
Neat things about the divisional: your grid spot is the same for all
your runs, trophies at the event, really good dinner, Mather concrete,
which is like Topeka's, not as bumpy. There are a few little rules that
can drive you nuts, i.e. having a rulebook (we figured that one out a
long time ago (G), etc., but the whole event gives the flavor of
nationals. Plus the level of competition is probably going to be high,
and you will get a better picture of where you stand competitively. It
is less expensive to find out close to home than traveling all the way
to Topeka. :)
