LOL - First you say that AAS wouldn't let a ten year old run at all, and then
that they wouldn't turn him down for being late?!  Now I know why you're so
fast, Barry, I wish I could shift gears like that!

You make a reasonable point that it may not make sense for registration to
close at a fixed time.  Properly, it should close at the end of the morning
run groups.  The reason for that is that all drivers need to be present for
the drivers' meeting (and realistically, course walk).

The reason it was set to close instead at a fixed time was, I recall, to give
people a solid time that they could expect registration to close, instead of
whenever the morning groups happened to finish.  Make sense?
