As far as I know, the Dogwood GP is now defunct.  They tried to run it again
a couple of years ago but ended up canceling it.  I am not really sure why.

Man, that brings back memories.  Always a lot of fun to run there.  The
course had a really high yeeha factor and it _was_ long.  Very difficult to
remember it well and because you were going so dang fast it tended to
surprize you a lot.

The last year Dan ran 'ol Blue (the '70 BSP Vett) he and I traded FTD on
almost every run, with Dan taking it on the last one.  At that event, on the
run from the lower overpass to the turn around at the bottom, I hit the rev
limiter at 8000 rpm in 4th gear!  (I have a 5th gear lockout)  After runs
were over, the cop that had been sitting att he dead end at the bottom of
the hill (with his radar gun) told me Dan and I had 25 mph on the whole
field!
