None of my business of course, but as an innocent bystander here is my
opinion: It seemed fairly obvious to me, the average "Joe Blow" reader,
that you implicated SCCAforums in selling the lists, and your current back-
pedelling now seems trite. Semantics and actual verbiage aside,
the "message" seemed clear to me. Your actual statements are as you say,
but given the context and obvious competitive situation between SCCAforums
and team.net, you should have known that *someone* would conclude that you
had some alterior motives for that kind of speculation. Be it right or
wrong, the note made me think the same thing immediatly.
If you didn't mean to implicate them, perhaps you should have re-read you
note prior to hitting the button. It's very easy to beat up on team.net
for being "reactionary", and not see your own post from other's
perspective. (Been there!) As an industry professional, I thought that
you would be acutely aware of the limitations and pitfalls of E-mail
communication to a large group of people.
Just a thought from someone who doesn't really care.
