Look, just because you bolt on a different tire brand and go slower does not
mean the tire is slower. It's not unusual to have to make alignment, shock,
swaybar, pressure, driving style, attitude, etc. changes to optimize *the*
setup.
A lot of people thought the R1's were faster until they actually got on and
dialed in the Hoosiers. BTW, the Hoosier radial has evolved significantly
from it's inception 5 years ago and will continue to be improved and updated
as needed. The results in Stock over the last year speaks for itself,
especially with regard to FWD vehicles.
Otherwise, I think your argument about reclassification because you no longer
get the tire you consider to be the hot setup will fall on deaf ears. Its
only basis is to be self-serving.
