I can second Andy's remarks. I did that cool arrive and drive
kart thing for the 1999 Tour. Somehow, I even stole a trophy!
At least one of the bumpy areas made me airborne in the kart
(awful understeer! :-) ). I'm a big guy so it takes a big bump to
knock up ~350 lbs of kart/driver.
Of course, I still support having Nationals only 5 hours from
home (Houston) but I'm just a bit biased. :-) My map program says
it's ~2170 miles from Seattle to TMS.
