For those not there and those that were, take the dirvers out of the race.
BMW can outbreak any car in ESP. Power to weight is close,Talon gets the
nod. BUT, how can it be fair to race a car with IRS against a bunch of
live axle cars? Before someone sticks the talon in my face, being all
wheel drive it has a list of defects vs good handling so my hat is off to
the driver who finished high in the trophies with it. However, no other
car in ESP has the performance engineered into it from the factory that the
BMW exhibits. If the Supra can't run ESP, why should an IRS equipped BMW
be allowed?
As for the drivers, Mr Tunnell is not questionable. He is one of a handful
of elite autoxers. Mark Madarash is no slouch. As for others mentioned in
previous posts, look at the results from this year and the competition and
weather conditions the drivers were up against before jumping to
conclusions or holding up the high profile drivers. If you were not there
to see ESP run, don't make conclusions that only muddy the conversation,
please.
