Yep, the Neons have exhaust at the back of the engine as well.  The stock
intake on Neons are very restrictive since it picks up air from the front
of the engine bay, routes it toward the back (where the filter is), then
back up to the front to the throttlebody.  The throttle body actually
faces up and with the limited amount of space underhood, makes for some
pretty creative aftermarket intake systems.
