I don't see that this would gain you anything on dry pavement. If I
understand siping correctly, it's to provide more edges to break up the
water film under the tire in wet and snowy conditions -- that is, to prevent
hydroplaning and improve wet traction. In the dry, uninterrupted rubber is
better.
