>>AUTOX LIST: I was actually able to get my R/T up onto three wheels
many times this past weekend during a McKamey Phase autocross
school. One of my instructors, Brian Priebe, said that my suspension
springs felt weak and my steering wheel didn't feel like the 16:1
rack that R/Ts and ACRs are supposed to come with. Any idea how to
verify whether or not I have the 16:1 ratio steering rack? How about
the coil springs? How can I verify that they are the correct ones?
Remember That tires are also part of the suspention, If you are
running Low air pressure in tires it will feel like softer springs,
and diffrence in sidewall construction can make a car feel completly
diffrent, My car on the Michelins that came on the car (soft
sidewalls) felt squirmy, non compliant, and downright ugly, Put a set
of R-compound, on the car and whew It is much less ugly (it's still a
lux-o-cruiser)but I have driven a similar car to mine with stiffer
springs,, I said "hey this feels like my car with the r's"
Just my $.02 YMMV
