Hopefully Hoosier Tom or one of the other Hoosier experts will respond on
this, However it might help if you provide more details including the
specific size of tire, weight and specific model of VW, specific size and
brand of wheel, and how much use of what type the tire had prior to the
problem. Also, the set up of the front suspension.

It is possible, for example, that you have a tire designed for a formula
car front end (i.e. very light with perfect camber curve, etc.) on a 10
inch rim but mounted on a much narrower rim with much more weight an tons
of positive camber in a corner . . .

Or maybe you have used cantelever Formula Ford tires designed for a 5.5
inch rim mounted on a wider rim but also lots more weight.

Just some thoughts to maybe help . . .
