The 1.6 motor just doesn't have enough balls to drive the taller and heavier
225/50/14 R1 tires.  Time will tell about the G-force weight.  IMO, The
205/55/14 Hoosier or maybe the 195/55/14 Kumbo is probably the better choice
for a 1.6 car.  -Randy

<< The 14x6 wheel makes it practical to run 225/50R14 BFG's which some
 believe make a significant difference on the Miata.  It'll be
 interesting to see if any pop up in CS if the proposal to reclass the
 1.6 carries. >>
