Actually the all-sync transmition is known to be weaker than the
non-sync.

The late all-sync does however have better ratios (exc SIII) than the
earlier boxes.

Does the all syncro transmission have advantages over
the non-syncro other than being able to down shift to
first gear?  For example is it a stronger
transmission, or does it have gearing advantages.
