Well, you guys have made a believer out of me. I just saw a scanned copy of a
Series V brochure (Ref. 7823/R/EX/LHD 5/27/8) that clearly states that "All
Soft tops are black. Hard tops are available in body colour if ordered as an
optional extra and Black only if ordered as a special accessory." Which is
entirely different than what my Series II (Ref.7249/EX/USA 4/961/20) says. "All
Soft tops and Hard tops are black." That statement leads me to believe that ALL
were black. No exceptions. This is obviously not the case though.
This is interesting to me because it clearly points out the difference between
"Special Accessories" and "Optional Extras", which has been my latest area of
interest for the web site. Fun stuff! Anyhow, thanks for setting me straight. I
was just getting ready to work on the hard top section of the site and I
wouldn't have wanted to pass on bad information. Once again the list has proven
