        Colin:

The PDWA does not create continuity between the pins when
triggered, it creates continuity between both pins and the chassis. The
PDWA turns on your dash light by grounding the black/purple lead through
the PDWA.
It doesn't matter to which pin you connect the wire, since they
are shorted together.
Patience grasshopper. You must study the ways of the British
while in a tranquil state of mind. I find it helps if while
troubleshooting you chant "Hail Lucas, Prince of Darkness. Reveal thy
secrets to thy servant". It also helps if you sacrifice a small,
helpless, furry animal before troubleshooting any wiring issues.
(Preferably a cat, since no one ever misses them). I have had the best
results when the cat is sacrificed by way of electrocution.

How the hell does this thang work? There's the plastic fitting that
screws into the brass valve body. On mine, it has a spring-loaded
plunger that sits inside the brass valve body, and on the other end of
the plastic fitting are two terminals with continuity between them.
<snip>

 Mine's never
worked since the rubber plug was blocked by the remnants of the old
wiring harness connector, but now that all the pieces are free and
clear, I can't figure out how it works with continuity present between
the terminals, regardless of the position of the plunger. Can someone
'splain this?

        Many thanks.
