If you have a fiber board tranny cover, then it might have been damaged removing and replacing. They tend to disintegrate easily. When I had mine, I replaced the damaged unit with the ABS type, covered it with the heat shield and carpet. Worked great. Not saying I had cold feet, but it sure did the trick.
